My Testimony

I was raised “Christian,” but I never really knew what it meant. To be honest, I had barely even heard the name Jesus outside profanity. I was always fascinated with science and when I was about 9 (maybe 10) I began to build a disbelief of any sort of God. I tried to answer any questions with the scientific method. By the time I was 13 I was a full blown atheist. I had an answer for just about anything… or so I thought, anyway. In high school I even began to take pride in how easily I could create doubt in Christians, viewing them as weak. I thought that some people were simply weak-minded and therefore created a false deity to fill in all the gaps of knowledge where they simply couldn’t understand. About halfway through my senior year of high school I got mixed up with a Christian at school and he tricked me into going to a couple church events. It was at one of these events that I met the person who God would use to slap some sense into me. On February 1, 2004 that same person performed his first baptism… me! The great part was that it wasn’t even planned.

  2. I stumbled upon your page by accident, I was looking for an interpretation of 1Timothy 4:12, but after reading your testimony I don’t think it was an accident, thanks for being open and sharing. God bless!
